STOP. EVERYTHING. YOU’RE.DOING. Don’t really. But I’ve found the best thing ever (in my opinion) to take off your make up.
I’ve been using this for a good four months now so I can vouch that it is incredible. I like to use skin care products for at least a month before I recommend them to people and I can honestly say that I won’t be using anything else to take my make up off for the foreseeable.
It’s The Body Shop’s Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. Finding any sort of way, big or small to help the planet is becoming more and more paramount. There’s a huge push to get rid of paper coffee cups and plastic straws, more and more women are making the switch from tampons to mooncups etc and these are all small changes that are so easy to make. The same can be made for make up. I feel so guilty, looking back at all the make up wipes I’ve used in the past. Using a cleansing butter to take your make up off, especially The Body Shop’s Camomile one is a way of reducing waste and actually save money in the long run.
Get it in store and here.
I hated using make up wipes and feeling like I was smearing it all back into my skin (ew) and micellar water just wasn’t cutting it for me. I was left wanting something that would easily take my make up off whilst leaving my skin feeling clean and soft. I was doing a job for The Body Shop and the staff were going crazy for this cleansing butter. Their love for the product (and the fact that I had 40% off…) was enough to convince me to buy it. I took it home, tried it out and was so impressed that I went back the next day and purchased another one (you know, in case the whole company sold out in one day?!). Now I’m two over three months in and I am still not even half way through my first pot which I think is pretty darn good. So if you’re after a product that makes taking make up off feel less like a chore then give it a go.
