The Body Shop Faves.

Hey hey! Today I’m writing about another beauty brand that I know has a place in a lot of our hearts and it is The Body Shop.

I have always loved The Body Shop and I think I always will because the products are always great and they do a lot to help charities, farmers etc. (Like how they source their Camomile from a farm in Norfolk and that they source their Community Fair Trade Cocoa Butter from Ghana and so on…). If you sign up for one of their rewards cards or are on o2, you can get yourselves a lot of savings (Like a fiver voucher on your Bday?!?!). Like I’ve mentioned previously in this post, they often do offers like 40% off including sale or £25 off a £50 which is bloody lovely. These kind of offers are great to take advantage of for yourself as well as loved ones because their products make lovely gifts. Anyway, here’s a bit about some of my current faves.

I’m going to kick off with the Vitamin C Energising Face Mist as it is the latest addition to my little Body Shop collection. THIS STUFF IS SUNSHINE IN A BOTTLE! I had a few samples of the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser and loved how it revived my dull, winter skin. As I was running low on the Mario Badescu Facial Spray  , I decided to try the Vitamin C mist instead and I’m very glad I did. I’ve even stocked up as it’s currently down from £12.00 to £6.60 in the sale and I got another 40% off on top of that (!!!). If like me, you’re a sun worshipper and your skin gets a bit dull and tired without it then this spray is for you. I use it before I prime my face and it leaves my skin looking and feeling super radiant. It also smells like an orange ice lolly so why wouldn’t you wanna buy it?!?!!?

Currently sold out on the website, make sure to head in to your local store.

The Seaweed Pore Cleansing Exfoliator. I love seaweed skin care products as seaweed is great for getting rid of blocked pores whilst still leaving skin soft. It’s also an anti-inflammatory which leaves skin hydrated, youthful and repaired. This product is gentle enough if you’re skin is feeling a bit sensitive but tough enough to remove all dirt and excess make up. I wouldn’t advise this product on dry skin – it’s definitely more suited for combination to oily skin. I use this on days where I have worn a full face off makeup and I want to ensure it’s all scrubbed off. The Body Shop have used jojoba beads which is what is used to exfoliate and the mineral rich seaweed from Roaring Water Bay, Ireland (!!) is the magic stuff that does the rest. I first purchased this at the beginning of last year and I am only now onto my second one. I have used this at least 3 times a week since I got it so that shows just how long it lasts and how little you need. It’s just fabulous.

Tea Tree Oil – I won’t lie… I think I only got this so it bumped up my order for free delivery. However, I was not disappointed. It’s super for those big spots and blemishes that need a little purifying before they set off and disappear. I love combining this with the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Also it just smells so gooood.

Aloe Creamy Cleanser. To be honest, I didn’t think it was any good at first but that was because my skin didn’t need it at the time. It’s a lovely, gentle, creamy cleanser that I like to use if I either haven’t worn any makeup or have just worn tinted moisturizer – something I am doing a lot at the moment, to give my skin a break. This is great to take on holiday or if you’ve been out in the sun all day as it contains aloe vera. I took this to Spain in the summer as I find normal cleansers too harsh when on holiday. I tan very quickly and my freckles come out in full force so the skin is slightly more sensitive than usual. I would also recommend this for anyone who has sensitive skin because of how gentle and soothing it is. Again, this lasts for moonthsss. There’s a running theme with things I buy… I don’t mind if it’s not too cheap if it means it’s going to never run out* *slight exaggy but u feel me.

& finally, I know I have already dedicated an entire post to this BUT it has to have a mention. The Camomile Cleansing Butter.
